Avectics Flight Vault
Drone inspection footage and asset management connected to computer vision analysis.
THE CASE STUDY
Giving inspection footage an asset context.
For drone inspection and video asset management.
The challenge
Recorded inspection footage can be difficult to use when it is disconnected from the asset being inspected. Review workflows need to organize video and connect relevant observations with physical assets.
The approach
The platform combines drone-footage management, asset tracking, and computer vision analysis. The documented technology includes YOLO and OpenCV alongside a React interface and MongoDB.
WORKFLOW OVERVIEW
From input to outcome.
- Organize footage
- Analyze video
- Track assets
What it does
- Management of recorded drone inspection footage.
- Asset tracking within inspection workflows.
- Computer vision analysis for structural anomalies.
Delivered in the workflow.

A closer look at the build.
Open a topic to explore the details.
01Organize recorded inspection footage
The video-vault component gives footage a place within the inspection process. Organizing recordings is a separate but connected need alongside the analysis performed on those recordings.
02Apply computer vision in context
Computer vision is used to analyze recorded footage for structural anomalies. Connecting that analysis to the inspection workflow gives video processing a specific operational role alongside footage and asset management.
03Keep assets connected to the review
Asset tracking provides the operational context for inspection material. The platform joins recorded video and analysis with the asset-management side of the workflow.
WORKFLOW IN PRACTICE
A typical path through the product.
Recorded drone footage is organized for inspection, processed through available computer vision workflows, and reviewed in connection with the relevant assets.
